A bartop is a cabinet that recreates an arcade machine in a smaller size, usually for two players. It is essentially the top part of an arcade machine, from the control panel up to the marquee, without the pedestal, and it usually sits on a table or counter while you play.

In our catalogue you can add a pedestal to the kit so that, once assembled, it looks like a classic full-size arcade machine.

First, think about which hardware you could reuse for your machine, to save as much as possible and give that old monitor or computer a second life.

Each of our cabinets takes a monitor up to a maximum size in inches, so check the maximum dimensions each cabinet allows in its product description. Broadly, you will need to consider:

• The system that will run the bartop (PC, Raspberry Pi…)
• The monitor size, and that it is a flat screen
• Button and joystick size
• Space to place the cabinet

We ship these arcade cabinets as assembly kits that you put together by following our PDF instructions and fitting the parts like a puzzle.
