Welcome to Omniretro! We are a small company specialized in geek carpentry, graphic design, and general computing. On our website, you can find a variety of cabinets designed and manufactured by ourselves, with which you can build your own arcade machine at home.

We ship these arcade cabinets in assembly kits that you can assemble by following assembly videos and fitting the pieces together as if it were a puzzle.

All our cabinets are designed and manufactured by ourselves, and we try to optimize every detail so that the end user gets a top-quality product at the best price.

What is a bartop arcade?

A bartop is a cabinet that simulates an arcade machine but smaller in size and is usually for two players. We could say it is the upper part of the arcade machine from the control panel to the marquee without a pedestal, and it usually rests on a surface to play.

In our catalog, we offer the possibility for the user to add a pedestal to the kit so that upon finishing assembly, it looks like a classic arcade machine.

What do I need to keep in mind when building my arcade machine?

Mainly you should assess what hardware elements you could reuse to build your machine to save as much as possible and give a second life to that old monitor or computer.

Our cabinets have a maximum inch size regarding the monitor, so you will have to check the maximum dimensions allowed for each cabinet in the product description.

Broadly speaking, you will have to take into account the following sections:

  • The system that will bring the bartop to life (PC, Raspberry Pi…)
  • The size of the monitor and ensuring it is flat
  • Size of buttons and joysticks
  • Space to place the cabinet
