Individual USB Pass-Through Extender

If all you need is a USB port to hand on the outside of the cabinet, there is no reason to cut a 30 mm hole. This individual USB pass-through extender is the most discreet option in the range: a round head for a 20 mm hole and a metre of cable already fitted.

🎮 What you will use it for

The head leaves a female USB Type A port reachable from outside, and the cable end finishes in a male USB Type A that you plug into your system on the inside. That covers the usual jobs:

• Connecting controllers, gamepads or a keyboard without opening the cabinet.
• Moving ROMs or updating the system from a flash drive.
• Keeping the internal wiring fixed and protected instead of running a cable out through a slot.

USB 2.0 is more than enough for controllers, keyboards and file transfers, which is what you actually do on an arcade machine.

🛠️ Installation: 20 mm hole

• Hole diameter: 20 mm. It is the gland that takes the least material out of your panel, ideal if space is tight or you would rather it went unnoticed.
• Fixing: threaded nut on the inside face of the panel.
• Tip: on MDF, drill slowly and from the good face so the edge of the hole does not chip.
