Direct connection between microswitch and zero delay interface
Building an arcade control panel or repairing a joystick means wiring every microswitch to the interface board. When you use a zero delay interface to turn mechanical inputs into USB commands, you need a reliable link between the two. This 4.8mm cable, 20 cm long, takes soldering out of the equation: plug it in and the control responds instantly.
A clean, solder-free solution
Most arcade microswitches use 4.8mm terminals: the ones fitted to American-style joysticks, to the Industrias Lorenzo Eurojoystick 2 and to our own button microswitches. The zero delay interface takes each signal on its dedicated port. You could solder every wire, but it takes time, needs tools and makes future repairs or changes harder. This 4.8mm connector cable bridges the gap in seconds and can be unplugged whenever you like, with no solder left on the board.
The cable links the microswitch terminal to the zero delay interface connector. No solder, no heat gun and no electronics experience needed. Plug it in, test it on a PC, Raspberry Pi or console, and start playing. If you later swap a button, add a new one or rearrange the panel, just unplug and plug back in without damaging the existing wiring.

Projects it fits
This cable is the missing link in bartops, arcade cabinets, DIY fightsticks and custom control panels. It works for new builds and for repairs where you need to replace a damaged wire or expand the panel with extra controls. Makers and makerspaces also use it to try out different button layouts before settling on the final design of their arcade machine.
Check before you buy
Make sure your microswitches have 4.8mm terminals. That is the size used on American-style joysticks, on the Eurojoystick 2 and on the microswitches we sell, both for joysticks and for buttons. It does not work with Sanwa joysticks or any joystick with a 5-pin connection: those use their own 5-pin harness, not individual terminals. The other end of the cable must match the connector on your zero delay interface board. If in doubt, check your kit’s specifications or measure the terminal with a caliper before ordering.
Are your buttons far from the interface, like the flipper buttons on a pinball cabinet? This same cable is also available in a 50 cm version.
At OmniRetro we make and supply arcade parts from Spain and ship them directly to you. If your retro gaming project needs the right cable to finish the control panel, here it is, ready to plug in.
